In my previous blog post Meal Planning Part 2 : Prep Work we discussed the Pantry, Freezer and Fridge Inventory.

Using the inventory, we checked our Favorite Meals Folder/List for meals we already have ingredients for and wrote them down.

We wrote the meals into our Weekly/Monthly Meal Calendar and ensured we had a good variety.

Today’s Post : The Grocery List

Today we’re going to cover the Grocery List.

While it seems relatively easy … just write down what’s missing and go to the shops.  It’s actually the most important step.

If you’d like to save money or you’re on a budget, I suggest you keep this post in mind.

1. Grocery List – Food Items

While checking your list of favorite meals and the ingredients you already have (Step 2 in the earlier blog post), add any items you’re missing onto your Grocery List.

I use an app on my phone called ShopShop.  Its very simple but does the job and is super handy when I leave my grocery list at home. Theres loads of apps available online for FREE.

TIP : Take a photo of the grocery list just in case you leave it at home by accident (I’ve did this loads of times before I got the app ; ))

2. Other Items

Heres a list of other things to add to your grocery list for your big shop.  That way you can get the Meal Planning done as well as the house in order in the same shop.
